Classic China

The tourist attractions of Beijing are plentiful and rich in history and culture. World Heritage Sites in Beijing amount to six, which include the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Ming Dynasty Tombs, the Great Wall and Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian. Beijing has more World Heritage Sites than other cities in China. While Shanghai is an emerging tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Bund and Xin Tian Di; its modern ever expanding Pudong skylines and its new reputation as a cosmopolitan center of culture and design. Through touring the differences between these two cities, travelers can find the culture gap between North and South China.
