Shanghai, Hu for short, is situated on the estuary of Yangtze River of China. It is the largest industrial city in China. Covering an area of 5,800 square kilometers (2,239 square miles). Shanghai has a population of 18.7 million, including 2 million floating population. In the western part of Shanghai, there is a venerable and famous Buddhist temple, Jade Buddha Temple. Yu Garden is marked for an "extraordinary beauty that is unrivaled south of the Yangtze River".Also we will visit the Bund, Jinmao Tower and Nanjing Road. This will be a wonderful tour!

• Welcome to China! Welcome to Shanghai! After arrival, you are needed to clear the customs and retrieve your baggage, then met by your Tour Guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which it says your name. And then you could have the experience to take the world's fastest train at the Pudong International Airport - the Shanghai Maglev, however, this depends on your flight schedule, otherwise transfer by car to your hotel downtown. Depending on your flight schedule, you may pay a visit to the People's Square and the Shanghai Museum, or you could relax in your hotel. In case of your late arrival, the remainder of today is free for your own arrangement.

• After breakfast you will first visit the magnificent Yu Garden and the Temple of Jade Buddha.  Take a stroll in the Dongtai Road and French Concession to discover the Old Shanghai followed by a shopping bummel in the famed Nanjing Road and then down to the Bund alongside the Huangpu River to explore the modern aspect of Shanghai. After that proceed to the Pudong New Area to enjoy a bird's eye view of Shanghai from the Jinmao Tower.
• Optional: If you'd like to enjoy the frenetic nightlife in Shanghai, you could take a taxi to Xin Tian Di (the New World), where you will get the taste of Shanghai in the 1920's as well as the sonic modern lifestyle of urbanites. Just relax, enjoy the local beer and rock and jazz music. Another choice you have for this evening is to take a cruise on the Huangpu River. You could ask our local guide to arrange both of them, so that you can experience them at one time!

• Be free at leisure until your guide picks you up from your hotel and escorts you to the airport or the railway station. You'll travel to the next destination.
