The tour from the historical lands of China to the Roof of the World where it is the home to the indigenous Tibetan will go through many different beautiful scenery and ethnic cultures. It's quite true that travelers feel as though they have entered an entirely different world when they first step into this beautiful wonderland. By taking Tibet Railway, the world's highest railway, travelers will enjoy a fine view of the well-preserved local unique heritages, most cloudless sky, spectacular ranges of Snow Mountains and bluest lake water from the train windows. Train tour also can turn into religious tour easily especially in the Sacred Land of Tibet, for it's full of Buddhism temples and pagodas for visiting or sightseeing. It's a paradise for the pious believers in miracle there. Once the travelers arrive in the land of Tibet, they always forget where they have traveled and where they shall travel in the future. • Welcome to China! Welcome to Beijing! After arrival, clearing the customs and retrieving baggage by yourself, be met by our tour guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which it says your name. And then transferred by your private car/vehicle to your  downtown hotel. After check-in and a short rest in your hotel, you will pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven and the ancient pedestrian streets: Qianmen Street and Dashilan Street. The above-mentioned tour activities depend on your Arrival Time. If you miss our arrangements for you because of your flight schedule, then you are free to spend the remainder of the day.

• Today's excursion will first take you to the Badaling Great Wall and a Cloisonne Factory. After lunch you`ll move on to the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside. And then proceed to the splendid Summer Palace. Feel a little tired after the full-day trip? No worry. Mandarin Tours will arrange a foot massage (free of charge) for you. It is a most incredible relaxing treatment! With the famous Peking Roast Duck for dinner, you will complete today's program.

• Today, you will first visit the world's largest city plaza - the historic Tian'anmen Square. Then walk to the marvelous "Egg" - National Centre for the Performing Arts, to take some pictures from its outside. Proceed to the magnificent Forbidden City. After having lunch in a local family during the following Hutong Tour by Rickshaw, you will be escorted to Jingshan Park, from its top you may enjoy a perfect panorama of the whole Forbidden City and the city of Beijing. In the evening, you will take the overnight train to Lhasa.

• Perhaps the 48-hour train trip will make you a little tired, but it absolutely will not be boring. You may read novels, magazines or, if you like, you may enjoy some coffee or tea together with our friends in the bar on board and appreciate the spectacular and marvelous landscape outside the window, while the train crosses over the northwest area of China.

• You'll arrive in Lhasa in the evening. Our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Lhasa lies in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at a high altitude, so hope you will have a good rest to acclimatize it.

• Today you will visit two of the three great Gelugpa monasteries in Lhasa: the Sera Monastery and the Drepung Monastery. Once being a guest at a Tibetan Family, you will make yourself closer to the real life of Tibetan.

• Today, you will go to visit the architectural and religious wonders of the Potala Palace and the sacred Jokhang Monastery. Out of the Jokhang, you are right in the center of the fascinating Barkhor Street, lined with the stalls of an outdoor market where all kinds of goods are being sold. Just make a easy stroll along the Barkhor Steet. If you like, you even could send a greeting-email to your family or friends from a  nice Internet-cafe nearby.
  

• After breakfast you will be driven to Gyantse. On the way, you will visit the picturesque Yamdrok Tso Lake, which is one of the four sacred lakes on Tibetan Plateau. After your arrival in Gyantse, you will have some free time before dinner. You may make a stroll in the small town of Gyantse or pay a visit to the Gyantse Dzong by your own. The Dzong Fort is a main feature of the town. It's a steep climb to the top but well worth the effort for the view, and there are a few featured exhibitions that explain the Dzong's history and function. A new exhibition hall at the main gate is given over in part of an anti-British Imperialists museum which is worth a look.

• After breakfast, you will visit the Palkhor Monastery (also called Palgor Chorten or Pelkhor Choede) and its Kumbum Pagoda, the landmark of Gyantse. In the afternoon you will  take a 1.5-hour drive to Shigatse (about 90km). After a short rest in your hotel pay a visit to the the second largest monastery of Gelugpa - the Tashilhunpo Monastery, and then move on to a local free market to have a look.

• Today you'll be driven back to Lhasa (280km, 6 hour-drive) along the Yarlung Zangbo River. On your return journey, you will get a view of the varied natural scenery along the Yarlung Zangbo River, which no doubt will make you interested and excited. After arrival in Lhasa and a rest in your hotel, a farewell dinner will be served at a Tibetan restaurant for you to enjoy local food with traditional Tibetan singing and dancing.

• Spend your own time at leisure until our tour guide picks you up and escorts you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai via Chengdu. Upon your arrival, be met and transferred by our local guide to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own arrangement.
• Optional: Shanghai`s Acrobatic Performance is the best one in whole China. This evening, you may have an opportunity to enjoy it! Mandarin Tours will be very glad to arrange this program for you. If you want, you can book it in advance with this tour together.

• Today, your full-day tour of incredible Shanghai will take you to the Yu Garden, Dongtai Road, French Concession, People's Square, Nanjing Road, the Bund and the Jinmao Tower.
• Optional: If youd like to enjoy the frenetic nightlife in Shanghai, you could take a taxi to Xin Tian Di (The New World) where you will get the taste of Shanghai in the 1920's as well as the sonic modern lifestyle of urbanites. Just relax and enjoy the local beer and rock and jazz music. Another choice you have for this evening is to take a cruise on the Huangpu River. You could ask our local guide to arrange both of them, so that you can experience them in order!
  

• Enjoy your free time until our tour guide picks you up from your hotel. Then, you will "fly" to the airport for your departure by taking the world's fastest train - the Shanghai Maglev. However, it depends on your return flight schedule. In case of missing the Maglev you`ll be driven by car/van to Pudong International Airport!
